Sheri Long’s Personal Qualifications
Her lifelong bicultural experience gives her an in depth understanding of
both the Anglo and Hispanic cultures. From the age of six she grew up
among Mexican farm workers and their children on a date ranch near the
Mexican border, outside Yuma, Arizona. The ranch foreman’s wife, Cruz, was
Sheri’s constant companion. Cruz taught Sheri Spanish, Mexican cooking and
card games.
Her love for the Mexican people grew deeper over the two years that she
lived, socialized and studied with them in Guadalajara, Mexico City and
Puebla, Mexico. She formed such a close bond with one family that they
asked her to be the godmother for their newborn child. To this day, Sheri
maintains close contact with her extended Mexican family. This intimate
connection and her involvement in the local Hispanic community keep her up
to date with evolving cultural trends.
Sheri Long’s Professional Qualifications
She has over 25 years experience helping individuals and organizations to

“In January of this year, my team embarked upon the challenge of building the foundation for the transformation to a world class Global Sourcing & Procurement organization. This process included defining roadmaps for annual objectives, defining our mission, and assimilating many new members into the team to include, myself, the leader. It was a pleasure working with Sheri Long from Amigos at Work to facilitate this very important process for my team. The facilitation was a great help, especially during the team-building exercises. I highly recommend this process to any organization that is embracing change and defining an effective execution plan, and the resources provided by Amigos at Work enabled a streamlined, synergistic event.”
